A RARE .22 PRE-CHARGED PNEUMATIC AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'FIELDMASTER', no visible serial number,
circa 1982, with 25in. barrel including period detachable 'Galway' sound moderator, hexagonal receiver marked along the top-flat 'T.M' within an oval and 'GALWAY FIELDMASTER' all with gold paint infill, brass twist and pull cocking piece to rear, blued air reservoir and chequered walnut pistol grip right hand half-stock, much finish remaining and complete with a period Nikko Sterling 'SILVER CROWN' 3-9x40 telescopic sight.
Other Notes: Possibly ten years too early, the Galway Fieldmaster together with its rival the Daystate Huntsman paved the way for the resurgence of the pre-charged pneumatic air-rifles that have subsequently come to dominate the airgun scene since the late 90's
