NEEDHAM 12-BORE 1874 PATENT HAMMERLESS SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 5121, serial number on barrels only, 28 1/2in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (some pits, wall thicknesses at 19), rib inscription worn illegible and numbered '2' toward the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true and imp. cyl., action incorporating Needham patent ejectors, patent no. 1205 of 1874, use number 144, right sideplate (fractured) with manual safety lever with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, feathered border and acanthus scroll engraving, some pins replaced, 14 1/2in. stock (likely replacement), weight 6lb. 9oz.
