NEWARK N.J. / PATENTED MARCH 8 1864' on top flat, plain 5-shot cylinder (pitted) with roll-engraved panels in open frame, silver-plated brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, two-piece walnut grips with wear and shrinkage, London proof-marks to cylinder and frame, some original finish remaining
