A JOHN LANSON 12-BORE 1865 PATENT ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 1020, serial no. possibly a patent use number, circa 1870, 24 3/8in. black powder only bold damascus barrels (shortened, rib glued, pitted internally), 2 1/2in. chambers, cylinder both, T. Bissell patent action, no., 1461 of 27th May 1865 with back-action locks, external low profile scroll hammers with internal strikers, removable striker discs, border and scroll engraving, 14 3/8in. stock (cracked at head) including steel buttplate, fore-end with crosspin release (some damage to wood)
