PAPE, NEWCASTLE3-ON-TYNE, WINNER OF THE LONDON GUN TRIALS IN 1858. 1859. 1866 & 1875', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 3/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, dipped-edge lockplates, cocking indicators with engraved 'COCKED' detail, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. figured stock with scroll-engraved steel heel and toe plates, weight 7lb. 1oz.
