E.M. REILLY 16-BORE PINFIRE / CENTREFIRE ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 12543, circa 1870, 29 3/4in. black powder only damascus barrels (loose, some pitting), the rib engraved 'E.M. REILLY. NEW OXFORD STREET. LONDON.', the breech-end with pinfire apertures, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, elongated top-strap, carved slender fences, non-rebounding back-action sidelocks with dolphin hammers, Jones patent underlever, border and partial scroll engraving surrounding scenes of fowl, 14 1/2in. figured stock including steel buttplate, weight 6lb. 13oz.
