A SUDANESE DOUBLE-BLADED HALADIE DAGGER, late 19th Century, with two 8 1/4 in. double-edged slightly curved steel blades etched overall with pious Arabic inscriptions, symmetrical polished bone grip with flared and stepped bolsters, some wear and rusting to the blades, tips missing, large horizontal split to one side of the grip, these were a popular weapon used by the Samaniyya Sufis under Mahdi Muhammad Ahmad during the Anglo-Egyptian War of 1882, 20 1/4 in. overall
