A GOOD FRENCH WORLD WAR I MODEL 1892/15 BAYONET FOR THE BERTHIER CARBINE, circa 1916, with 15 1/2 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso with inspection marks, black abbreviated lower quillon marked 'BD24193', wooden grips, one of which is carved with '1940', together with its black steel scabbard with matching number, a little surface rust towards the tip of the scabbard, 20 1/2 in. overall
