A MIXED GROUP OF FOUR FRENCH BAYONETS, being 1) a Model 1886, with 20 1/2 in. cruciform steel blade, cross-guard and quillion, press stud, silver-alloy grip, steel rusted, 25 in. overall; 2) a Model 1874, with 20 1/2 in. single-edged steel blade, inspection marks to ricasso, back etched for Chatellerault Arsenal dated 1876, steel cross-guard and numbered quillion with inspection marks, steel hilt, wooden grips and brass pommel, together with its steel scabbard, exposed steel with some rusting and pitting, 26 in. overall; 3) a Model 1874, with 20 1/2 in. single-edged steel b;lade, inspection marks to ricasso, back etched for St Etienne Arsenal dated 1877, steel cross-guard and numbered quillion with inspection marks, steel hilt, wooden grips and brass pommel, together with its steel scabbard, exposed steel with some rusting and pitting, 26 in. overall; 4) a Model 1866 Chassepot, 22 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side, steel cross-guard and quillion, brass hilt, heavily worn and rusted, no scabbard, release catch frozen, 27 in. overall
