AN AUSTRIAN MODEL 1869 CAVALRY OFFICER'S SWORD, circa 1880s, with slightly curved single-edged nickel-steel 34 1/2 in. blade fullered on one side, ricasso marked 'WEYERSBERG / & STAMM / SOLINGEN', pierced steel guard, hilt back-strap with ears, fish-skin grip bound with white metal wire, bullion sword-knot, steel scabbard with fixed suspension rings, a small loss to the nickel one side of ricasso, some staining to the hilt, sword-know worn, some staining and small rust patches to scabbard, 42 in. overall
