A NAMED PATTERN 1845 INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD. circa 1860s, with slightly curved 32 b1/4 in. single-edged steel blade fullered on each side and etched both sides with scroll-work and royal cyphers, plus 'CAPTAIN WILKINSON' in a stylised banner, ricasso with brass 'proved' plug, with 'C. WEBB / 23 / OLD BOND St / LONDON' over, folding brass guard and hilt, fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, together with its brass scabbard with two suspension rings, some staining to blade and a little shallow denting to the scabbard, 39 1/4 in. overall
