A 15-BORE BACK-ACTION PERCUSSION HORSE PISTOL, no visible serial number. circa 1840, with 9 1/4 in, sighted steel barrel with Birmingham proof-marks, plain back-action lock, dolphin hammer, plain walnut stock, brass trigger-guard and throat-pipe, steel rammer, actions correctly, barrel and lock with cleaned pitting, stock cracked through the lock side screw causing the trigger-guard to buckle out of its recess, rammer rusted and ill-fitting, probably due to the stock damage, 15 1/2 in. overall
