CIRCA 1868, serial no. 2250, with 29 in. barrel shortened from 36 in. rifled with three grooves, sights missing, War Department marks at breech, fitted with the improved Mk III positive bolt locked action, the lock stamped 'B.S.A. / 1868' to the centre, the stock reduced to just proud of the lower barrel band, mounts include brass butt-cap and trigger-guard, iron nose-cap
