A 20-BORE DOUBLE BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK, ORIGINALLY CIRCA 1800, NO VISIBLE SERIAL NUMBER, with 26 1/2 in. twist barrels , border decorated locks with traces of foliate engraving and makers name, replacement hammers which are a good match, foliate engraved fixed breech, iron mounted walnut half-stock with chequered wrist and scroll trigger-guard, engraving on mounts worn, stock refinished, in its day this was a quality gun and the conversion effected by re-breeching the barrels circa 1845
