AN INTERESTING COLLECTION OF TREEN ITEMS COLLECTED BY SIR HENRY NORMAN, M.P. including a well engraved gourd depicting tea and coffee pots surrounded by engraved borders and stopped with an ivory stopper, a turned wood small urn with weighted base, two small containers (one silver mounted) and possibly made of nut kernels, a small bamboo brush pot with pyrography decoration, a further large nut kernel of pineapple form, a well carved and turned wooden flagon with a wooden stopper pencilled on the base 'Balkans' and a small Japanese gold laquered decorated round open pot. Other Notes: These items were collected by the vendor's grandfather, Sir Henry Norman M.P. in or around 1880 during his world travels. Sir Henry later went on to pen the title 'The Real Japan' in 1892
