STEVENS', MODEL 'HUNTER'S PET No. 34', serial no. 2206, circa 1890 and almost certainly cut down from the rifle, with heavy octagonal7 1/4in. barrel, blade fore-sight and ladder rear-sight, nickel-plated break-open frame, exposed hammer spur trigger and smooth walnut grips with dove-tail at heel for a detachable butt (missing), traces of finish
