AN UNUSUAL PRIVATE PURCHASE PATTERN 1888 MARK I 2nd TYPE SWORD BAYONET, circa 1890s, unmarked except for a bend-test 'X' on the ricasso and two reversed small arrows on the pommel, some cleaned pitting to the cross-guard, staining to locket, but otherwise appears to have very light wear, black leather scabbard appears to have been lacquered
