probably Norwegian, with single edged 3 3/4in. blade, guardless hilt formed of a broad band of white metal engraved and tapering towards the blade, a central section of marine ivory inlet with an oval escutcheon and a similar band of white metal forming the pommel in reverse of the first, complete with a a black wood scabbard with white metal mounts
