A KYU GUNTO STYLE JAPANESE ARMY OFFICER'S SWORD, presumed post war reproduction of a mid 20th Century sword, with 25 1/2in. plain steel blade single fullered to each side set in a brass locket, brass hilt with quillion and chrysanthemum floral decoration, red leather grip bound with white metal wire, steel scabbard with single suspension ring, no apparent markings, blade rusted and pitted, surface rust to scabbard, 33 1/2 in. overall
