A PATTERN 1822 GENERAL OFFICER'S SWORD, mid-19th Century, with a slightly curved 31 1/2in. blade, fullered and etched on both sides with royal cyphers and scroll-work, 'WARRENTED' etched on one side and 'C. WEBB / 23 / OLD BOND St / LONDON' to other of ricasso, with folding brass gothic hilt with royal cypher and black fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, together with an associated black leather scabbard (no stud for the folding guard), with brass fittings and rings, blade stained, scabbard worn, chape dented and a glued leather patch to the leather above the chape
