A VICTORIAN GENERAL OFFICER'S SWORD,
circa 1890, with 32 1/4in. blade with single fuller and scroll etching with royal cyphers both sides, brass proved plug on one side of ricasso and 'SILVER / & Co / LONDON to the other, brass hilt with folding Gothic guard with royal cypher, black fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, with its brown leather scabbard with brass fittings, blade with some staining, scabbard heavily worn, fittings loose and chape missing, 38in. overall
