GYE & MONCRIEFF 12-BORE HALL 1871 PATENT TOPLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 1091, circa 1880, 30in. black powder only reproved damascus barrels (in 1974), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, action incorporating John Hall patent No 2396 of 1871 locking bolt, use No. 328, carved percussion fences, rebounding locks with carved dolphin hammers, border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding game scenes, bright finish, 14in. figured stock including 3/4in. wooden extension, weight 7lb.
