A GROUP OF TWO PATTERN 1853 SOCKET BAYONETS FOR THE P1853 ENFIELD RIFLE AND ONE PATTERN 53/74 FOR THE MARTINI-HENRY RIFLE circa 1850s to 1870s, with 17in. blades, the P53/74 marked 'R. P.' on ricasso with frog stud integral with the locket, one marked 'G & E' and Birmingham inspection mark on ricasso with frog stud separate to the locket and regimentally marked 'V / HS8 / 80, and one marked 'W /I\ D' and Enfield inspection mark on the ricasso with frog stud separate to the locket, all with their black leather scabbards with brass fittings, and with 'W /I\ D' stamps below the frog studs, some wear to the scabbards but stitching appears sound, each 22in. overall
