A PATTERN 1821 ARTILLERY OFFICER'S SWORD World War I period, with 33in double-fullered blade with heavily polished simple etching and some staining, proof slug in ricasso, three-barred guard with bars pushed out of shape, fish-skin grip bound with copper wire, together with its leather-covered field scabbard, 39 1/2in overall
