JEFFERY & CO. 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 12586, 28in. nitro reproved barrels (very loose), the rib formerly engraved (now unreadable), and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, toplever gold-inlaid '2', treble-grip action with carved arcaded fences, action, furniture and lockplates profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork surrounding oval vignettes of hound in the field, the underside with a portrait in a roundel, brushed bright finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock (setting crack to rear of left lockplate), weight 6lb. 6oz.
