A 16-BORE PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN CONVERTED FROM FLINTLOCK BY STAUDENMAYER CIRCA 1810, serial no. 1110, 28 in. three stage barrel fitted with patent breech on conversion with vented platinum plug and marked on the top flat, 'ALDEN & SMITH', bevelled lock engraved with original makers name 'STAUDENMAYER / LONDON', half stocked in walnut with chequered wrist, iron mounts including scroll trigger-guard, leading edges of forend worn down, tail pipe and ramrod missing.
