AN INTERESTING ,54 FLINTLOCK AFGHAN JEZAIL, CIRCA 1850, no visible serial number, 30 in twist barrel having a flared muzzle with copper bead front sight, the breech with a raised flange with sighting hole, as typical of these arms it has an East India Company lock this example being a Baker's 1819 pattern, the rampant lion cypher has been erased and a native symbol engraved in its place, fitted with bun-nut retained ring-neck cock, full walnut stock, with Scinde type of curved butt, which is embellished with carved decoration., iron trigger-guard, the barrel retained to the forend with four iron wire type bands,
