MORTIMER, CIRCA 1810, no visible serial number, with 35 in. two stage octagonal to round barrel, with bevelled border decorated and foliate engraved lock, with stepped tail and vee shaped waterproof pan, the swan-neck cock and the frizzen both engraved to match the lock which is signed to the centre 'H. W. MORTIMER', figured iron mounted walnut stock with half length forend, chequered wrist with vacant silver escutcheon, complete with brass mounted period loading rod, old professionally executed repair to stock under lock.
