A CASED 14-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN SIGNED WILLIAMS & POWELL, no visible serial number, circa 1835, with 30in. barrels, white metal bands at breech, engraved top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved bar action locks signed 'WILLIAMS & POWELL', engraved hammers (pitted, one repaired), chequered walnut half-stock bearing an escutcheon at wrist, iron furniture and replacement ramrod and complete with a period oak storage case, relined and compartmented in red baize with reproduction labels inside lid, the tray also containing an original powder and shot flask with later cleaning accessories and caps
