circa 1890 and possibly converted from the service rifle, with blind fluted octagonal 34 1/2in. barrel, ramp foresight, long dove-tail for rear-sight (absent), plain receiver with dropping load platform, walnut butt-stock with Swiss-style heel-plate, complex finger-spurred trigger-guard bow acting as the under-lever, double set triggers,, half fore-end and clearing rod mounted to left side of barrel, missing hinge pin from action
