A BRITISH PATTERN 1821 LIGHT CAVALRY SABRE SIGNED JOHNSTON, LONDON FOR THE XVIII HUSSARS, circa 1870, with 35 1/2in. slightly curved Wilkinson style proved blade (some staining and corrosion), etched with scrolls and arabesques and featuring the XVIII Hussars regimental device, iron three-bar hilt, sharkskin wire-bound grip, moulded back-strap and chequered pommel, complete with its iron scabbard (darkly stained)
