for 1884, with round tapering 2 1/4in. barrel signed by the maker on three lines including the 'DEPOT 14 PALL MALL, LONDON' address, left side of barrel etched 'NEW HOUSE' (faint), solid frame with load gate, fluted cylinder, spur trigger and single action hammer, finely chequered hard rubber square heeled grips and retaining a fair amount of original blued finish
