apparently based on the design by Tranter, with Birmingham proved octagonal 3 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'MANTON, LONDON', engraved band at muzzle, bead fore-sight, sighting groove to the engraved top-strap, borderline and scroll engraved solid brass frame, plain iron cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, spurred hammer and spur trigger, chequered walnut grips and articulated rammer-ejector mounted to right side of barrel
