for 1898, with 7 1/2in. barrel, single line signature, block and blade fore-sight, drift adjustable notch rear-sight, solid frame marked with two lines of patents and the 'Colt' trademark within a circle, blued fluted cylinder, colour hardened hammer, blued broad trigger, blued grip-straps and trigger-guard, smooth walnut grips, the whole retaining strong traces of original blued finish, hand spring at fault
Provenance: Of the total production of 976 Colt Bisley Target Revolvers, only 196 were in .455
