dated for 1880, with blued 33 3/4in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the top-flat at breech signed 'AMBERG' and stamped with a crown over 'L', octagonal receiver stamped with the model designation and the date, matching number bolt with straight handle, walnut full-stock, iron heel-plate and furniture, except brass trigger guard bow, the front cap with bayonet bar, clearing rod under barrel, traces of faded finish remaining, all matching numbers, weight approximately 9lbs., overall length 51in.
