A .300 (EX. LONG) SINGLE-SHOT SPORTING or TARGET-RIFLE, serial no. 54078,
circa 1930, with 25in. blued barrel signed 'MADE BY THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS CO. LTD. ENGLAND' over the calibre designation, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, plain slab-sided receiver with take-down thumb-wheel, the left side marked with the BSA 'Piled Arms' trademark, dropping feed-ramp with cocking indicator, factory fitted folding adjustable aperture sight at wrist, chequered walnut butt-stock, trademarked hard rubber heel-plate, chequered walnut splinter fore-end and fitted with eyelets for sling, the whole an older refinish.
