A .577 PERCUSSION MUSKET, MODEL 'PATTERN 1853 SECOND MODEL', serial no. 44747,
almost certainly acquired and refurbished by Reilly circa 1865, with blued 39in. barrel, commercial and ordnance proofs, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, borderline engraved blued lock signed 'REILLY, LONDON', walnut full-stock, brass furniture, the lower tang with engraved serial number (possibly added later) and three blued barrel-bands retained by flat-springs, complete with its jag-ended under-barrel ramrod
