circa 1790, with tapering round iron 12 1/2in. barrel, shallow raised sighting rib, engraved breech with moulded stepped flutes joining to the top-tang, the tang itself covered with a nielloed white-metal panel incorporating a raised delta-shaped stepped sighting groove, plain flat iron miquelet lock of probable European manufacture, the cock with squared jaws, carved bridle and ribbed frizzen face, paktong full-stocks with relief moulded and carved decoration (possibly originally gilded), nielloed details, engraved borders with nielloed grounds, carved and moulded trigger and trigger guard, false ramrods and paktong embossed and engraved long nose-cap with shallow elongated boat-shaped fore-sight
