dated for 1801, with brushed bright 39in. barrel, block fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, London and East India Company proofs at breech, Jaipur Arsenal numbers to top of barrel, solid top-tang, borderline engraved lock signed 'MORTIMER' below the pan and with an E.I.C heart-shaped device at tail together with the date, walnut full-stock with shotgun style butt (chip at toe), the right side stamped with farsi letters within a circular border, brass furniture and iron ramrod and swivels
