for 1856, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT, LONDON', un-numbered wedge, rammer a later replacement, open iron frame signed 'COLTS PATENT', plain cylinder with matching number but scrubbed of scene, iron grip-straps and trigger-guard and smooth walnut grip, the whole stripped of finish with some pin-prick pitting
