** MONT BLANC, GERMANY
A BOXED LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN, MODEL '149 UNICEF HELMUT JAHN EDITION', serial no. 3463 of 4810,
released in 2003 and comprising of a Meisterstück 149 piston fountain pen fitted with a medium 18 K gold nib with platinum inlay, the barrel and cap made of black precious resin inlaid with the Montblanc white star, gold-plated clip and rings, complete in a special solid acrylic case containing the pen and a bottle of Montblanc ink, the whole housed in its maker's display carton, unused, light storage marks to carton

Provenance: Helmut Jahn, widely regarded as one of the world's most influential architects of our time, emigrated to Chicago in 1967 from where he still operates his practice. His work evolves from the purist principles of Mies van der Rohe progressing along advanced technological lines in the creation of his modern artifacts. He applies the balanced synthesis of function, technology and aesthetics to glass structures in his quest to achieve the ultimate expression of transparency. For the Meisterstück 149, Helmut Jahn and his London studio Jahn Lykouria Design have created a case of solid acrylic screen etched with an original manuscript by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe held in Montblanc's archives.
