circa 1870, with octagonal 26in. barrel, ramp fore-sight with dove-tailed blade, graduated ramp rear-sight with sliding standing notch, short action with automatic load ramp opened by a guarded front trigger and cocked via a large thumb-lever, figured walnut half-stock with raised cheek-piece, chequered panels at wrist, iron furniture, under-rib with replacement iron clearing rod and broad swivels
