circa 1900, with blued 26in. octagonal barrel, the matted top-flat signed 'SHOT & REGULATED BY HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET LONDON' and 'WINNERS OF ALL THE FIELD RIFLE TRIALS LONDON 1883', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, side-lever operating open colour-hardened iron frame with borderline and scroll engraving, chequered walnut butt-stock, iron heel-plate, exposed central hammer, guarded trigger and chequered walnut splinter fore-end held via a key (slight losses to upper rear corners), retaining a strong amount of original finish below some speckled surface corrosion
