circa 1890, with slightly tapering blued 28in. octagonal barrel, the matted top-flat signed 'J. LANG & SONS, 22 COCKSPUR ST. LONDON', bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with an additional folding leaf, Jones Patent swing-lever opening, engraved colour-hardened open iron frame, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, smooth iron heel-plate, moulded horn pistol-grip cap and chequered walnut splinter fore-end held by a cross-key (cracked, missing horn tip), retaining a strong amount of original finish below speckled surface corrosion
