LONDON', replacement dove-tailed colour hardened tunnel fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight with standing notch, the breech end marked 'PATENT NO. 9711 DETACHABLE BARREL 604' and 'FOR .300 SPECIAL CARTRIDGE', triangular trademark to nocksform, slab-sided Martini-type action marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS SHERWOOD RIFLE' on the left hand side, fitted with a period peep-sight from another at wrist, chequered walnut straight-hand butt-stock, smooth iron heel-plate and under-lever, chequered walnut fore-end, traces of finish
