Belgian circa 1865 and an unlicenced copy of a Colt 1849 Pocket, with blued octagonal 4in. barrel, the top-flat marked 'AMERICAN' together with crowned crossed keys trademarks, the left side of barrel signed 'NIKITITS ERBEN CONSTANTINOPLE', blued long plain five-shot cylinder with etched engraving, colour hardened open iron frame, brass trigger-guard and grip-straps and smooth wood grip, retaining much original finish and colour with some surface corrosion
