dated for 1856, possibly converted from flintlock, with round iron 41in. rifled barrel, applied blade fore-sight to the nose-band, flip up multi aperture rear-sight, plain flat lock with crowned signature, walnut three-quarter stock with heavy brass furniture, raised cheek-piece, complete with iron ramrod and bayonet catch at muzzle
