dated for 1884, with round 25in. hexagonal rifled barrel marked 'WHITWORTH PATENT', block and blade fore-sight, small elevating ladder rear-sight, flip-up breech-block marked 'MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS' together with a triangular trademark containing the letter 'C', plain lock (possibly a replacement) signed on the bar 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO' and dated in a triangle trademark on the tail (some pitting), walnut full-stock (cracked through side-nail, toe repaired), iron furniture including barrel band, nose-cap and under-barrel clearing rod,
