1842 version circa 1842-50, with 33in. round iron barrel, block fore-sight, knock-off breech, borderline engraved lock signed on the bar 'LACY & CO' and 'LONDON' on the tail, brass furniture, the heel-plate marked '6' over 'T' over 'SERJ' on the top-spur, three barrel keys, stirrup swivels, provision for ramrod (absent), iron surfaces with later laquer preservative
