AN IMPRESSIVE EARLY PAIR OF 20-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED HORSE-PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1660, with round swamped 12in. barrels signed 'LONDON' within a borderline engraved needle, engraved floral flourish at breech, solid iron top-tang, borderline and vine engraved radiused brass locks with replacement iron cocks and signed below the pans 'R' over 'WHEELER', walnut full-stocks (renewed), engraved brass furniture including short tailed butt-cap, stepped side-plates and turned ramrod thimbles, brass-tipped ramrods, both pistols with repairs and renovations throughout
